Live the war and live at war

This subtitle was drawn to my attention by a student (thanks, Thamires Silva) the other day while she was watching the movie Bravetown.

The information in Portuguese is definitely incomplete or misleading - what the English text is saying is that you don't have to have experienced a war to be in conflict with someone. The challenge is making sense of the phrase "live at war", meaning the same thing as "be at war".

So my translation would be
"Não precisa viver uma guerra para estar em guerra".
