What's the destination?

English is defimitely everywhere. While waiting to disembark, the flight purser announces:

"For passengers whose destination is this city"

But wait, is that English? Wouldn't it be better to say something like, "Passengers remaining in this city", or "Passengers bound for this city".

This sounds a lot more like how it is usually said in Portuguese - passageiros com destino a esta cidade. Which only makes me wonder where they came up with the English phrase.
