Celebrating 40 years of the first and only perfect 10 in gymnastics, Romenian Nadja Comeneci is invited to go back to the stadium that presented her to the world when she was just 14. The interview was voiced over in Portuguese, and at the moment when Nadja is almost betrayed by her emotions, she limits herself to saying: Good memories

The translation given was "boas memórias". Which sounds more appropriate in Portuguese - "boas memórias" ou 'boas lembranças"?

    Absolutely "boas lembranças" because it portraits an emotional attachment. "Mémórias" sounds more practical, such as in a medical condition. "Palavras cruzadas ajudam os idosos a desenvolver a memória". And I also recall technological stuff , as smartphones, computers and so on. "Eu não consigo baixar mais nada, a memória (do celular) está cheia!"
